I don't see any place else to put this. One of the old AQC threads that helped develop the community of writer folks was a section on daily goals and if I recall today accomplishments.
Generally I am a pretty slow writer, and it's kind of dangerous when I start writing fast because I leave a lot of misspelled words and punctuation in my wake though I love the thrill when the story takes you and the words pour out of the typing fingers almost as fast as you think of them. Generally I am a fairly slow writer, and I have been working on a very significant Chapter in Prelude which is meant to represent my character's war with boredom when he has been left pretty deliberately by those with authority over him in a holding pattern.
In three days of this week I only managed about 1600 words. Today in a rush I got that other lovely thing. I only occasionally get a 1000 word day. Today was 2000, and from what I can tell they are good words.
(More in rewrite and proofing later.)
That's awesome. It's always so satisfying when the words just pour out and you look back and realize how much you've written. And even for days where that's not happening, just remember that even if you write only 100 words a day, it'll take you 1000 days to write a 1K-word novel, but it will get done. It never gets done if you don't write at all.
